The BBC have announced that Sir Bobby Robson has finally lost his latest battle with cancer. I was lucky enough to have met Sir Bobby at a book signing a few years ago and despite only speaking to him for a few brief moments I got the impression of an extremely down to earth, kind and gentle man.
My condolences to his family and close friends at this sad time, Football has lost it’s greatest ambassador.
